Founded in 1882 by Dr. Benjamin Colson, Temple Heights Spiritual Camp has endeavored to create a unique and caring environment in the serving of Spirit.  The peace and harmony of the Lodge and Temple create an atmosphere in which to relax, open to healing, learn, and center one's-self.   The walkways and nature trails are edged by a variety of flowers and other plant life.  On our spacious deck, which looks out over the ocean, one can relax and watch for the sailing ships as they journey up and down the coast.  A walk down to the shore provides a chance to hunt for the multi-colored sea glass that washes up from the ocean's depths. In the lodge, the kitchen facilities are available for the culinary artist to create mouth-watering dishes.

Workshops, message circles, private readings, healing and development classes, concerts, educational retreats, regular church services and pot luck dinners are but a part of what the Camp has to offer.  A stay over night in the lodge can be a varied experience from individual reflection, quiet conversation, to the camaraderie of group interaction and laughter.  Located within driving distance to several towns and cities, the area restaurants, stores and shops provide a diversity of products and services which are unique to coastal communities.

The upkeep and success of the Camp and Temple is due to those who participate in our programs, the wonderful mediums and teachers who come from all over the country to serve the Camp, our fantastic group of volunteers whose duties may include greeting people, answering the phone, painting, pounding nails, providing music, keeping the records, sweeping, cleaning, planting and nurturing the beautiful flowers, mowing and raking the grounds, computer work and a myriad of small tasks.  These things all add up to making your visit what we hope to be the experience of a lifetime.

We welcome you to the Temple Heights Spiritual Camp 2001 "A Spiritual Odyssey"!

WE’RE LOOKING FOR CAMP HISTORY

Anybody who has information, which would be useful in putting together, the history of our camp, please, please, please come forward with it. Copies of anything written or pictures, tape recording by people who have information in their heads. Old programs to add to our collection. Names and addresses of people who might contribute. Any leads to new information would be appreciated. Other than our record books, we have very little to work with. We would like to produce something to show the public and also help us to compile information to help establish the camp as a National Historic Site. WHAT DO YOU HAVE ?
