Phone Call to God

    by Patricia Michaud Wallace

Alone in my house
I sit and watch
As days go by around me.
Life is a dream for each to create;
Oh God, how it does astound me.

The choices are mine, so you say
And yet I know that You are there
To hold my hand if I fall down
And constantly show me You care.

Dare I look up? To dream my dreams?
When all of life is not what it seems?
I must have faith, You tell me so
But it is  so hard to just let go.

There's  has to be more to living
Then we'll ever  know in our life
When all around us is heartache,
Disease, and poverty, and strife.

The choices are mine, so You say
But I 'm sure glad  I'm not alone.
For prayer is better and faster
Than using the old telephone.
